The journey of Eurostretch
How it started
During a trip to Namibia, Wim, the founder of Eurostretch, saw a stretch tent for the first time. He was immediately enthusiastic and recognised its potential in the Dutch market.
First sale
The first tents were imported from South Africa and sold in the Netherlands. However, they soon proved not to meet European standards. Sales were halted, and the development of our own tent fabric began.
Own tent fabric
After a few years, in 2013, a tent fabric was developed that met all standards. It was certified fire-resistant and could be sold across Europe.
Independent growth
Eurostretchtent was registered as a trade name with the Chamber of Commerce. Eurostretch also moved from a barn in the Achterhoek countryside to a more modern workshop in Doetinchem.
Eurostretch goes international
Eurostretch supplied its first tents to Germany and later expanded to Switzerland and Austria. In the following years, expansion continued, and stretch tents were sold in more and more European countries.
Customisation now available
Where previously only standard sizes were sold, since 2017, Eurostretch has also been the place for custom-made stretch tents. A tree running through the tent or a unique shape? No problem!
Acquisition by Donselaar Group
At the beginning of 2021, Eurostretch was acquired by Remco van Ginkel and Erik van Donselaar. With their experience in the event industry and tent production, they knew exactly where to take the first step.
New premises
The entire company was relocated to a larger facility in Terborg. This gave the team more space to expand production capacity.
Automatic cutting machine
To meet the high demand for stretch tents, a new automatic cutting machine was purchased. This fully self-cutting machine ensures that all tent fabrics are cut to the exact right size.
High-frequency welding
We have added a second high-frequency welding machine to our production hall. This has sped up the production process, allowing us to deliver your tent faster than ever!
Opening of the stretch tent showroom
To showcase all our products, we opened our showroom! Here, you can find inspiration, view all options in person, and get advice from our account managers.
Record number of tents sold
Never before have we been able to make so many customers happy with our stretch tents. Spread across 25 countries, you will find more than 4,000 stretch tents at the most beautiful events and locations.
